Cult hires Charlotte Bunyan as its first head of strategy

Cult, one of the world’s fastest growing independent creative agencies, is excited to announce the appointment of Charlotte Bunyan as their first head of strategy. With decades of experience at top creative and marketing agencies, Charlotte has won several industry awards and worked on brands including P&G Haircare, Unilever, De Beers and Sony Mobile.

Charlotte will work alongside Cult’s chief strategic officer Bridey Lipscombe to launch a dedicated strategic division to work on their global clients including Burberry, M.A.C, Elemis, Sally Hansen, ghd, Dunhill and Pepsico’s latest wellness drink YULA. Based from their East London HQ, Charlotte will drive Cult’s strategy and innovation and sit on the Global Executive Team.

Founded in 2012, Cult launched a New York studio in 2018, a global production house in 2019, and now have over 40 staff and an annual turnover of $6.8m (£5.5m). The agency is planning to open a further studio in LA next year following a series of West Coast new business wins.

Formerly head of strategy at Collider and VP strategy director at Jack Morton, Charlotte speaks regularly at industry events and has received several awards for strategy and effectiveness. Most recently she accepted the inaugural Change-Maker Award from Women in Marketing. Charlotte also mentors emerging leaders, as a member of SheSays, Bloom and the Allbright, and recently spearheaded a creative fund to support female entrepreneurs.
