  • S4Capital has acquired Firewood, a Silicon Valley digital agency, for £150m which it will merge with MediaMonks, its digital global content practice.
  • Gravity Global has acquired Further Digital Marketing.
  • After months of speculation, Vice Media has acquired fellow online publisher Refinery29.​
  • Access Intelligence has acquired Pulsar to accelerate its social media capability.
  • Geronimo has acquired the data science and analytics company, Data Hatch.
  • Kibo Commerce has acquired personalisation leader Monetate.

Global wins

Engine has been appointed by Jägermeister as its global creative agency.

Teads has inked a global partnership with Groupe Renault.

Here Technologies has appointed Digitas as its global media agency.

EMEA wins

London North Eastern Railway (LNER) has confirmed the appointment of M&C Saatchi and Merkle to provide creative, digital and data-led marketing services over the next three years. Creativebrief managed the process.

Iris has been appointed as Delta Air Lines’ lead strategic and creative agency following a competitive three-way pitch.

Zoopla has appointed Lucky Generals as its new creative partner.

ActiveWin has secured a contract with the immersive social gaming platform, BiiM Casino.

Issa PR has been appointed to represent innovative Finnish tech design and art company FTDA.

TBWA\London has been appointed as lead agency by tech firm, Carwow.

Mindshare has won the account of Carwow. The account will be handled by Grow, the agency’s specialist division dedicated to working with high-growth businesses.

The Wild has been appointed to lead social media strategy for Stonehouse Pizza and Carvery.

Bubble Agency has been appointed by Avolites as its international marketing and PR services provider.

The Behaviours Agency has been appointed by GreenThumb to develop its brand strategy.

Jewellery brand Pandora has appointed Vice’s creative agency Virtue as its global lead creative agency, rewarding the successful launch of a new brand strategy last August.

Three UK has appointed Zenith as its UK media and planning agency in a move that will displace longtime partner Mindshare, which has worked on the brief since 2006.

Havas Media has extended its relationship with Sherwin-Williams winning its media planning and buying business for its wood care and performance paints brand Ronseal.

Kettle Foods has appointed The Lucre Group to be its UK agency.

Sparkloop design and communication agency has added Prudential and Asics to its client roster.

APAC wins

Wunderman Thompson Melbourne has won a three-year government contract for the Department of Justice and Community Safety Victoria, following a competitive pitch.

Red Havas has signed a partnership agreement with Japanese PR enterprise Sunny Side Up.

Alcove Realty has handed its creative duties to Wunderman Thompson Kolkata.

Dentsu Webchutney has bagged the digital creative and media duties for Logitech India.

Americas wins

TaxAct has selected MullenLowe as its new creative agency partner.

One Thousand Birds has signed with Safeword Creative as its first US West Coast representation.

Berlin Cameron has been named agency of record for Bios Lighting, after a review.

Epsilon and Fallon Worldwide were appointed as lead agency of record for KeyBank.


Global fashion brand Desigual has worked with Singapore-based fashion e-commerce brand Zalora to unveil its new brand logo and strengthen its presence in Asia.

The innovation consultancy, Made by Many, has launched an Amsterdam office.

The ex-leadership team at Branded3 have reunited with co-founders Vin Chinnaraja and Patrick Altoft to launch a new digital performance marketing agency Connective3.
