Former Go-Jek creative chief VJ Anand returns to agency world with VaynerMedia
VaynerMedia Singapore has appointed VJ Anand as its executive creative director and senior vice president (SVP) as it seeks to expand its business in Asia Pacific.
VaynerMedia taps VJ Anand of Gojek as ECD and SVP for APAC.
Anand will oversee the agency’s creative product in the APAC region and report to Avery Akkineni, head of VaynerMedia Singapore.
Prior to this, Anand was senior vice president (SVP) of creative at Indonesia’s ride-sharing startup, Go-Jek, where he worked with its creative agency BLK J to create thinly-veiled digs at Grab in OOH ads to announce the full roll-out of its app.
He entered the advertising industry in 2002 with Ogilvy in Malaysia and worked his way up, joining the likes of Havas, TBWA, BBDO and Cheil along the way.
Anand assumes his role at VaynerMedia Singapore from November 2019.
