Leadership Lesson: DDB's global chief executive, Wendy Clark / DDB
During the interview, the former CocaCola marketer talks about how important it is that she concentrates on the people in the business and finding new talent to work at DDB.
"I've been at DDB now coming up four years and I've been in the global role for coming up two years and the time that it takes to recruit people, especially executives, takes quite a long time... we have a new chief creative officer starting in North America, Britt Nolan, he said no 10 times before he said yes. You have to believe that 'no' is a 'yes' waiting to happen," advises Clark in talking about recruitment.
Other topics discussed included leadership advice and experiences of management she shared from over her career as well as who her leadership mentors have been too.
Other Leadership Lessons interviewees have included InterPublic Group's chief executive Michael Roth, Publicis Groupe UK's chief executive Annette King, Havas Creative Group chief executive Chris Hirst and Rob Pierre, the chief executive of Jellyfish Group.
