Hertz and Lufthansa cement relationship with ‘Travel Seamless’ campaign

Car hire brand Hertz has cemented its relationship with European airline Lufthansa with the launch of Travel Seamless, a promotion to offer travellers a ‘premium’ experience be that in the air or on the road.

Customers of both businesses will be rewarded by six times the standard amount of ‘Miles & More’ frequent flyer reward miles when hiring a car through to 15 December.

Extending a partnership first forged in 2013, the co-initiative will lead with the message ‘Premium in the Air and Premium on the Road – Travel Seamless’.

Vincent Gillet, Hertz VP of international marketing, said: "This partnership extension bolsters our relationship with one of the world's best airlines and is significant in highlighting both brands' premium offerings. As a result of this ongoing partnership, customers will be able to continue to enjoy a wide range of mutual benefits."

Erik Mosch, vice president product management ancillary services Lufthansa Group, added: "The 'Travel Seamless' marketing campaign in collaboration with Hertz perfectly supports Lufthansa's ambition to provide its customers with a smooth transition from air to road on a premium level."

Last year Lufthansa undertook a major brand refresh depicting a 'slimmed down' crane a against a deep blue livery.
