Heating and hot water specialists, Baxi Heating appoints digital marketing agency Sagittarius

Saggitarius' work on Baxi's site migration has been well-received.

Commercial and domestic heating and hot water specialists, Baxi Heating - part of the Netherlands based BDR Thermea Group - has enlisted the Sagittarius to support their continued migration to Sitecore.

Following the work the brand started in 2017 to transition to Sitecore, including moving the consumer-facing site, they brought Sagittarius on-board in early 2018 to move their trade site back into the main domain and into Sitecore. This move ensured Baxi had more security and site stability control whilst also centralising their CMS infrastructure.

This migration was the first project in a long line of improvements for Baxi, including a UX review to improve user journeys across the site and a design review, which maintained Baxi's brand message.

Sagittarius also put on a series of workshops with Baxi to identify audience types and personas, allowing the team to create personalisation rules across the site - which in turn, improved the customer's experience. These rules also meant that the team could track consumer behaviour and optimise more smoothly.

Sagittarius' experienced optimisation experts carried out various SEO audits, making sure that the site went live with good content that would maintain organic search rankings, improve visibility and grow brand equity.

Since the site's launch in April of this year, Sagittarius has received plenty of positive feedback, only needing to update the consumer-facing website as necessary with new designs and user experiences.

Sagittarius' head of client services, Emma Nijjar, said: “It was great to have an ambitious client who wanted to put their customers and audience at the heart of what they do. The whole team were really engaged with the process and we had some great workshop sessions that started the relationship off on the right note. They also took the time to immerse our team into their environment and we visited several factories and onboarding sessions that really gave us great insight into Baxi, their values and processes. We’re so pleased that the designs we have produced are now being rolled out onto the consumer side of the site and can’t wait to see how this affects the user engagement and experience.”

Baxi's digital marketing executive, Ffion Melton, said: “It was great too, not only, get the trade section of the website onto Sitecore but to take a fresh look at the UX and design. The team at Sagittarius started from the ground up and we felt involved at every stage. The SBOS sessions really helped us to focus on our audience, to establish their wants and needs and what we need to do to answer them.

"We now have a site that is customer-focused and sets Baxi apart from its competitors. We’re excited to continue the work on the site and look forward to working with the team at Sagittarius in 2020 to really make the most of what Sitecore has to offer.”
