This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

This week includes moves from WPP, Moonpig, Marie Claire, LinkedIn, Fender and more.

WPP

WPP has announced Keith Weed will sit on its board as a non-executive director, effective from 1 November. The post will see Weed, who now also works with the Advertising Association, channel his immense brand and marketing knowledge toward strengthening WPP’s position, cemented most recently by a nine-year spell as chief marketing and communications officer at Unilever.

Moonpig

Moonpig has appointed former William Hill and Hostelworld marketer Kristof Fahy as chief marketing officer.

Marie Claire

TI Media has announced that Marie Claire UK editor-in-chief Trish Halpin and managing director Justine Southall are to both step down as the brand pursues its digital-first future.

Zoopla

Zoopla has made two significant new hires in its comms team including Tom Parker who joins from Amazon and will heading up the department, and Melissa Scarlett who joins from Edelman.

Pentland Brands

Pentland Brands has announced a new chief marketing officer role. The role will take responsibility for strategy, product, and marketing across the brand portfolio and, alongside other exec changes, is aimed at driving the international growth of its portfolio of sports, outdoor and active brands.

Kantar

Kantar has appointed Chloe Woolger as its new UK commercial director for customer experience domain.

Anonymous Content

Anonymous Content has signed director Elena Petitti di Roreto to its UK roster for commercial and music video representation. She remains with Epoch Films for US representation.

David

David has hired three of Spain’s most-awarded creative directors in recent years — Álvaro Palma, André Toledo, and Saulo Rocha — to lead the creative team in its new Madrid office.

Sid Lee Paris

Sid Lee Paris has announced that Paula Hochberg will be joining its team as creative copywriter.

Logan & Sons

Logan & Sons have brought on award-winning filmmaker Tom Schlagkamp as a director.

BMG Production Music (BMGPM)

BMGPM has promoted senior management executives Scott Doran and Paul Gulmans following a successful two years that has seen company revenue double.

AML Group

AML Group has appointed Duncan Walters as an experience partner. Walters will work across AML Group’s broad portfolio that includes AXA IM and the UK government.

Summerjax

Los Angeles-based production agency Summerjax has announced the addition of Todd Saunders, former global creative director of Roxy, as the vice president of the EMEA business.

KidsKnowBest

KidsKnowBest has continued its expansion with the hire of Mahesh Ramachandra as its chief product officer.

OMD Thailand

OMD Thailand has appointed Roxanne Somboonsiri as managing director of the agency.

Leo Burnett

Leo Burnett has strengthened its creative team by bringing on board Mayuresh Dubhashi and Sonal Chhajerh as executive creative directors. They will both be based out of Mumbai.

The Asian Parent

The Asian Parent, South East Asia’s largest platform for parents with a reach of over 25 million users monthly, has hired Susana Tsui, former chief executive officer of Dentsu Aegis Network China, as the new chief executive officer of media.

BBDO Malaysia

BBDO Malaysia has appointed Ben Chew as managing director. Most recently Chew was managing director at Isobar Malaysia.

Atomic 212

Australian independent media agency Atomic 212° today announced the appointment of Damien O’Brien as general manager of its fast-growing Darwin office, effective immediately.

LinkedIn

LinkedIn chief marketing officer Shannon Brayton has announced that she will step down by the end of the year to spend more time with her family, opening the door for Melissa Selcher to step in as successor.

Fender

Fender announced the promotion of Christina Stejskal to vice president of communications and PR.

MRM/McCann

MRM/McCann has announced that Melissa Ditson will be joining the global customer relationship agency as chief creative officer of MRM/McCann’s US West, leading creative operations for its Salt Lake City and San Francisco offices.

Eleven

Eleven, the San-Francisco based creative agency, has announced the hiring of Paul Golbovich as director of production and Kelly McCullogh as creative director.

Active Interest Media

Active Interest Media has announced that Pete Sheinbaum has joined the company as its senior vice president of digital.

FCB

FCB has announced that its current Toronto chief strategy officer, Shelley Brown has been promoted to FCB Canada’s chief strategy officer, effective immediately.

Reelgood

Mark Green, former Nielsen SVP of global measurement, has joined Reelgood to spearhead its new behavioral data platform.

3Q Digital

3Q Digital, the world’s largest independent digital agency, has appointed Rob Murray, former global chief executive officer of iProspect, as its president.

GMMB

GMMB has announced that Kimberley Hefling has joined the firm as vice president.
