The fruits of this collaboration have now been revealed in the form of a fully revamped mobile app which now allows it to process, curate, publish and monetise its content, all delivered in just two months.

Daniel Hallac, NYM chief product officer, remarked: “The speed to implementation of each application was something that made a difference for us, given that we work with large media properties. We chose Maz because we knew they would make this difficult process and normally labor-intensive project, simpler and easier to manage.”

Shouvik Paul, Maz chief business officer added: “With New York Magazine’s mobile application we worked to elevate the existing content by displaying it in a sleek and accessible manner that will be easy for their team to update. We look forward to continuing to work with New York Media to provide consumers with a streamlined service with more offerings and an improved look, but more importantly, higher functionality.”

The New York Media-owned title embarked on its app update to directly control and edit app content for immediate distribution while also saving time and money versus relying on its mobile team.

The new look app comes as part of an e-commerce push spearheaded by chief marketing officer Jacqueline Cinguina.
