Etsy, the e-commerce platform focussed exclusively on handmade, vintage and craft supplies, has launched its first-ever holiday campaign in the form of ‘Here’s to the Givers’.
Launching with a Halloween theme the twin-phase campaign will initially offer a variety of items geared toward trick or treaters before morphing into the second phase of activity featuring Christmas-themed décor, traditions and gifting moments.
In a blog post, Etsy chief marketing officer Ryan Scott wrote: “The holidays are such a special time to bring the magic of traditions to life. In a world where our everyday lives are becoming increasingly automated, we value the people who go the extra mile to make the holidays even more meaningful.
“Our new holiday campaign entitled ‘Here’s to the Givers’ celebrates the people who amplify what you love about traditions, help you celebrate with the people you love, and thoughtfully choose gifts that are unexpected and uniquely perfect.”
Among the eclectic mix of items to feature in the campaign is a magical child’s night light designed to banish shadows, a custom football table and vintage barware – all of which serve to highlight that free and same day delivery is now available on millions of items.
The ads will run in the US initially across cable, digital streaming and broadcast networks before localised creative reach UK shores later in the year.
