People Dynamics is a new online tool from independent digital agency, LAB, which helps to improve how teams work together.

Blending consumer neuroscience, psychology and behavioural economics to design, build and market digital brands and experiences, the online tool enables people to understand their drivers and those of their co-workers; to improve teamwork.

The tool is made up of 14 questions, testing what motivates participants and categorising their drivers as animals - either they're monkeys, motivated by context; lions fueled by rationality; or dogs led by emotion.

Users can also create a team profile, so that individual and collective results can be shared, enabling them to better understand how their peers function and react. This approach can help individuals figure out if their colleagues are driven by one factor in particular or if they have a balance of all three.

The tool offers teams the insight they need to improve their performance, and even have better meetings. The best functioning teams are those that have a good balance of all three behaviour drivers.

LAB is distributing the tool via email and on its website and social channels.

Daryll Scott, director of Human Technology, LAB, said: “We all know that different people make different choices and behave differently in a team environment. Using our expertise in psychology, we’ve developed a tool which allows people to gain a better understanding of what’s going on and what drives individuals when working as part of a team.”
