Creative Work of the Week: Patch Hotel looks after your plants while you holiday
People in the UK must really love their plants, because a hotel that takes care of your leafy friends while you’re on vacation was just voted the Creative Work of the Week by The Drum’s readers.
The Patch Plant Hotel is billed as the world's first hotel for plants, and it has its roots in London. The hotel claims that if you’re heading off on holiday and worried about your beloved plants being left unattended, you can book your beloved greenery at the Patch Plant Hotel, free of charge, thanks to Patch, an online plant delivery service.
Offering plant-parents a lifeline during their summer holiday, Patch has offered a 100 'rooms', with a range of spa-like treatments for the plants, including top-notch fertilizer and perfect sunlight.
A booking site was created to facilitate check-in and check-out times and make sure rooms are available.
The launch of hotel was covered extensively in the press with over 300 pieces in the first week of going live, which may account for the campaign’s popularity.
