TMW Unlimited appoints Chris Mellish as CEO

Mellish clocked 14 years at Razorfish and was previously with Blackbook. The agency said it was attracted by Mellish's ability to scale small agencies.

He is charged with leading the next stage of growth at the 300-strong agency with it just snapping up Absolut vodka and the Department of International Trade accounts. With more than 20 years in marketing, he led Razorfish from 2010 to 2015.

Tim Hassett, Unlimited Group chief executive, said: “Great agencies are built with great people and leaders. Chris is an exceptionally talented individual who brings incredible energy, deep expertise and world-class client service skills to a critical role here at Unlimited. We exist to deliver impactful work on behalf of our clients and Chris is absolutely committed to that mission.”

Mellish added: “In today's complex and interconnected marketing landscape, TMW’s deep digital expertise, combined with its heritage in CRM means it can offer clients a unique way to develop ideas that drive tangible actions across the entire customer experience. I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to lead TMW Unlimited into this next phase of growth and bring this promise to life.”

It is the latest of a raft of recent changes at the agency with Dan Bowers recently promoted to chief strategy officer to lead a team of 30 people.

Chris Pearce opened the spot in March when stepped down. TMW Unlimited owner Unlimited Group also appointed Hassett as Group CEO earlier this year indicating great change at the senior level at the agency.
