TIPi Group launches its summer Academy to help bring in new talent

TIPi Group has launched its TIPi Academy, as a way of inspiring and recruiting new media talent to the industry.

In response to companies seeking to bring new talent into their workforce, TiPi recognised that they needed to stay ahead of the curve if they wanted to attract the next generation of workers.

The company is reopening its TIPi Group’s Academy programme in August, welcoming students in for the third time. This unique recruitment and training initiative will appeal to ambitious fresh talent, ready to start their first role in the industry.

The programme offers them a two-week course in which they will be exposed to the hard and soft skills of digital marketing.

The latest iteration of the programme will include sessions by Electric Glue partner and media broker to introduce students to the wider, creative media landscape. This approach follows the need for marketeers to be all-rounders, if they want to excel in future.

Rather than sift through CVs and interviews, applicants will participate in a series of Q&A sessions, written tasks, networking opportunities, mock interviews and pitch simulations. The aim of this approach is to show off a 360-degree view of their personality, interests and skills and provide course attendants with a truthful insight into what a junior position would entail.

TIPi Academy founder, Jessica Hollingbery, said: "The aim of the Academy is twofold. It allows us to source truly engaged and driven young talent based on attitude, interest and passion. But it also supports the individual, by making sure they know exactly what role they are taking on, and whether it suits their personality and skills, to enable them to build long term careers."

Ollie Bishop, TIPi Group CEO and founder said: "Through offering the course free of charge, we also hope to access and support more diverse talent, that previously might not have had an opportunity to see what a role in digital marketing entails, nor how they might launch a career in the sector.

The next Academy programme will run from 12th August to 23rd August at TIPi Group’s new offices on Berners Street.
