B2B specialist agency Doremus has named Joe Rivas chief executive of its global operations.

The hire comes as Rivas concludes his service as global president of technology and B2B at VMLY&R, a global brand experience agency founded in 2018 that uses technology, creativity and culture to connect brands across continents. Rivas has more than 25 years of experience servicing clients such as Dell, Accenture, Xerox, Office Depot and Colgate-Palmolive.

In 2016, the agency's president and chief executive Howard Sherman announced that he was resigning after 12 years within the business to lead Good360, and that Doremus was to be led by an executive leadership team.

As chief executive, Rivas will oversee the Doremus group of companies worldwide. ”It's an honor to join a brand and team with such amazing history and pedigree as Doremus, an agency which has long been associated with being a bellwether for B2B strategy and creativity,” he said.
