The products that Salesforce plans to sell in China include Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Commerce Cloud and Salesforce Platform.

Salesforce has been in China since 2008, but has had a limited presence in the country because of the cloud market has been dominated by the likes of Alibaba.

Alibaba yesterday announced a new push into the US, opening up its Alibaba.com platform to small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) in North America for the first time, meaning that US businesses can sell goods on the B2B e-commerce site.
