Orchard Pig cider has listed a wooden pig cabin on AirBnb, putting a fresh spin on glamping while publicising its new flavour variant.

Orchard Pig Cider enters 'glampig' marketing with Airbnb cabin listing

The ‘Glampig’ experience, created by Wire agency, is currently based in Bristol and is available for bookings all summer. Successful bookers can have the caravan pig brought to their location of choice. It is likely the stunt will receive additional uplift from the touring of the trojan swine.

The piggy-pop-up sleeps between two and 12 people but is in high demand with the listing site claiming more than 500 people have viewed it this week.

The listing reads: “The piggy glamping pod is perfect for a camping trip for two, but can comfortably fit 12 inside – the portable pod will be brought to the location of your choice, and equipped with all the camping essentials (but not too many - this is about embracing nature and living the piggy lifestyle...).

“Your stay will include: full use of the piggy pod designed to have you sleeping like a pig in a blanket, fully weatherproofed facilities with sleeping bags, festoon lighting, cooking equipment and soft furnishings provided – far more inviting than your average tent.”

Orchard

Rhona Fyfe, brand manager of Orchard Pig, offered up a pun-heavy statement. “Everyone loves a taste of the countryside, but we know its not always easy to get to, and the old-school camping experience isn’t always glamorous.

“That’s why we’re turning glamping into glamPIG – bringing flavours of the farmlands to wherever you desire, complete with sleeping bags, facilities and of course plenty of Orchard Pig Pink cider to quench your thirst. We promise that you’ll never experience anything like it – prepare for a night sleeping inside a giant pink wooden PIG – that’s something to snout about.”

The stunt, which ties into a history of odd branded-venues on Airbnb, marks the launch of the new Orchard Pig Pink cider.
