Global wins

Intersport has awarded indie agency We Are Pi its global brand strategy and transformation brief as the retailer “ramps up” its global marketing efforts.

EMEA wins

Marks & Spencer has appointed digital marketing agency, NMPi to deliver it’s paid search advertising. NMPi will implement a new approach to paid search across M&S Clothing & Home and Food.

Gung Ho Communications has announced a duo of client wins consisting of Berghaus and Serge DeNimes.

Dixons Carphone has appointed Proximity London to work on the CRM programmes for Currys PC World and Carphone Warehouse on a project basis.

British chocolate purveyor Montezuma’s has alighted on St Luke’s as its lead creative agency without a pitch, in the wake of an internal review of its communications strategy involving several undisclosed agencies.

Howies have appointed KINC to handle its PR, influencer and media activity throughout the UK following its move into the wholesale retail market. KINC will be primarily focusing on the lifestyle fashion side of the brand.

If Agency has been tasked with undertaking a full rebrand project for Surcare, the skin-sensitive laundry and washing up liquid brand.

Tour operator, Great Rail Journeys is looking to appoint a media agency to support comms across multiple channels.

APAC wins

Baidu, Inc and Snap Inc have announced the renewal of their sales partnership. The agreement authorises Baidu to act as Snap’s representative to advertisers in Greater China, Japan and South Korea.

ShareChat, India’s leading regional social media platform, has appointed GroupM’s media agency MediaCom to handle its media mandate. The mandate includes media planning for the brand’s first commercial in Tamil language.

Ada has been named digital agency for Samsung Cambodia. Its scope of work includes digital strategy and digital media buying, social media strategy and content creation, as well as community management for 2019.

Lewis announced that it has been appointed as the global social media agency of record for Ecovacs Robotics.

Archetype has signed five new clients in the first quarter of its financial year including Ericsson, Tile, Poly, Travelport and local AR/VR Australian start-up UN/BND.

Australian Turf Club has appointed Emotive as creative partner. Emotive will manage ATC’s racing carnival campaigns including strategy, creative, production and social distribution.

We Are Social has opened an office in Tokyo – the fourteenth city in which it has a physical presence globally and its sixth office in the Asia-Pacific region.

WPP has confirmed it is selling 60% of its stake in Kantar to Bain Capital, valued at around $4bn.

Mergers

NBC News is chasing after the millennial market with a partnership with fledgling OTT service Quibi to bring two original daily news shows to viewers by April 2020.

Launches

Singtel and AIA have launched the first phase of a major partnership that aims to incentivise healthy behaviours and grow customer loyalty for the two brands.

Independent agency, Fuseideas has opened a Buffalo office and has hit the ground running by hiring eight industry leading experiential marketers.
