This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Sainsbury's/Argos

Sainsbury’s and Argos have combined the marketing roles for Argos and Sainsbury's for the first time under a group chief marketing officer. Mark Given will take on the role in the new structure, which also gives him marketing responsibility for loyalty scheme Nectar and I2C, a shopper insights company.

Engine

AnalogFolk's managing director, Ete Davies, is leaving for Engine to pick up the role of chief exec of its creative and experience design division.

Marks & Spencer

The head of Marks & Spencer’s clothing, home and beauty business, Jill McDonald, has departed with responsibilities for the ailing division now falling on group chief executive Steve Rowe.

Now

The former creative director at Above & Beyond, Ben da Costa, has joined Now as chief creative officer. He will replace Remco Graham, who is leaving to take on a new challenge.

Grey

Javier Campopiano is leaving FCB Mexico to join Grey Europe as chief creative officer. He has been tasked with overseeing creative development on key global accounts.

Refinery29

Refinery29 has promoted Jacqui Kavanagh to senior vice president of Revenue. In this newly created role, Kavanagh will oversee all of Refinery29’s international commercial departments, including sales and partnerships, media planning, creative, strategy and client services.

M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment

M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment is relocating its global chief exec Steve Martin to Sydney in September, with the remit of expanding its global presence.

Amplify

Amplify has appointed Alex Wilson to lead its newly launched content division. He will leave his role as creative partner at Lucky General's experience design arm Wild Things.

AppsFlyer

AppsFlyer has appointed David Llewellyn as its marketing director, EMEA, to spearhead the company’s next phase of growth.

Class35

Class35 has hired George Mayou as partner. He joins from Fjord, where he was a director.

Mirum

Mirum has recruited former One North Interactive agency partner Nathan Denton as group creative director.

Geometry UK

Geometry UK has promoted Debbie Ellison to the newly created role of chief digital officer. She will report to Michelle Whelan, chief exec Geometry UK.

Nabs

The support organisation for the advertising and media industry, Nabs, has appointed Karla Smith as a trustee and treasurer. Smith is currently finance director at Ogilvy UK and will replace Andrew Harris who has resigned from the board, having come to the end of his term.

APAC people on the move

Bloomberg Media Group

Bloomberg Media Group has appointed Mark Froude as head of ad sales, APAC. In this role, he will lead Bloomberg Media Group’s sales organization and advertising strategy in the region.

Publicis Communications

Publicis Communications India has promoted Amit Misra to chief exec South Asia, to lead the brand across SAARC regions, with primary focus on Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Publicis Sapient Australia

Publicis Sapient is expanding its investment in industry vertical specialist talent; appointing Daniel Abbas as industry lead, public sector and higher education, and Michael Joffe as industry lead for energy and utilities.

Redhill

Redhill has hired Alpana Killawala’s as senior advisor. Based out of Mumbai, Killawala will be advising Redhill clients on financial communication strategy.

Zilingo

Zilingo has appointed James Perry as its first chief financial officer, as the company looks to expand its horizons globally.

Kraft Heinz

Eduardo Luz, the former US chief marketing officer of Kraft Heinz, has been named chief executive of 8Greens, a health supplement brand.

Netflix

Netflix has named a BBC veteran as its new chief marketing officer as the group looks to shine a spotlight on its original content globally and fight off a growing number of video subscription rivals.

Assembly

Martin Cass, chief executive of MDC's Media Partners and agency Assembly, is departing the holding company amid a restructure designed to unite its media, data, tech and CRM offering.

Adara

Adara has hired Frank Teruel as chief operating officer, working from its Palo Alto office. This is a new position for Adara, which was created to lead global operations as the company expands.

WarnerMedia

WarnerMedia's president of ad sales, Donna Speciale, is leaving the company. Speciale spent seven years as Turner's sales boss before moving into her new role after AT&T acquired WarnerMedia – then called Time Warner.

Sesame Workshop

Sesame Workshop, the media and educational organization behind ‘Sesame Street’, has named former Schierson partner Samantha Maltin as its chief marketing officer in order to develop deeper brand and customer engagement through the nonprofit’s key initiatives.

Gut

Ignacio Ferioli and Joaquín Cubria have joined Gut as partners and chief creative officers. They join from David Buenos Aires and will work from Gut's newly opened São Paulo office.

Optimist

Toygar Bazarkaya is leaving his role as chief creative officer at We Are Unlimited. He will join Optimist as the agency’s first global chief creative officer.

Wavemaker

Wavemaker has ended its six-month search for a global chief executive, appointing MediaCom's chief operations officer, Toby Jenner, to lead the business.

Lime

Lime has hired Jane Chung as global creative director, to invest in the brand's vision to transform urban transportation and change the way people connect.

Sparks & honey

Laura Chiavone has been appointed by sparks & honey as managing partner, business transformation. She joins the company from Tribal Worldwide where she served as chief strategy officer.

Barker

New York-based independent advertising agency Barker has tapped Scott Cohn as senior vice-president of creative content. Cohn previously served as founding partner and creative director of Night Agency, and most recently was an independent content consultant.

Refinery29

Refinery29 has appointed Stacy Fuller as senior vice president, head of integrated marketing solutions. Fuller will spearhead Refinery29’s branded content and strategy, through integrated advertising product development, delivery and client management.
