English cricket great Freddie Flintoff has faced off against himself in a reflective short film from Natwest.

2019 Freddie Flintoff faces a 2005 Flintoff machine in Natwest cricket spot

The bank, which has supported the sport for 38 years, set up a specially modified bowling machine to replicate the Lancastrian's deliveries during his greatest ever over in the 2005 Ashes victory at Edgbaston. Then it put modern-day Flintoff on the crease to see how he would fare against himself.

In the five minute film, footage of Flintoff batting against his own almost unplayable bowling is intercut with poignant clips of the star recalling one of his most memorable moments in the sport.

Created by M&C Saatchi, the spot sees the 41-year-old harken back to past glories and its release coincides with today's England team dominating Australia again to secure a place in Sunday's World Cup final.
