Majumdar spent over four years at Spark Foundry where she was head of strategy and planning. Before that she was media group manager at PHD UK.
At Verizon Media, formerly known as Oath, she will report into UK managing director Anna Watkins and work on solutions for advertisers across brands like Yahoo, TechCrunch and HuffPost. With this newly created role, Watkins is building a unit that can educate advertisers about the brand's "new, simplified offering in the UK".
Majumdar will work with the business leads across audience insights, editorial, product marketing and sales to build products that leverage the group's data, content and distribution for clients.
Watkins said: “As we continue to build momentum for Verizon Media with our clients, this role will be crucial to further unlocking the power and potential of our business for advertisers. With her experience and dedication to providing the best level of service to her clients, Monica was the clear choice for this role.”

She starts in the role immediately, located at Verizon Media’s new offices in London.
