Family-orientated sports and activity festivals organiser, GoFest, has appointed Underdog Sports Marketing to help secure commercial partners ahead of its UK expansion.

GoFest has run festivals since 2015, starting at Surrey Sports Park Guildford before expanding to including Etihad Campus, Manchester.

2020 is set to be their biggest year to date as they look to grow a further six sites across major cities in the UK as part of their mission to get 500,000 people more active.

Paul Farris, GoFest founder, said: “We find ourselves at a critical point in the UK. Children are coming out of school more unhealthy than they went in and we are looking to make a difference. GoFest offers families an opportunity to have a go at a choice of 50 different sports at world-class venues.

"We know that it’s a great fit for a brand looking to help get the UK more active and we’ve enlisted Underdog Sports Marketing to help us do this. They share our passion for grassroots sport and firmly believe that with the right brand we can create something truly special”

Ged Colleypriest, director of Underdog Sports Marketing, said: “We’re delighted to be working with GoFest to help them develop their commercial strategy. Research from previous festivals show that if you can get kids to try a sport/activity then there’s a great chance that they’ll remain active. It’s a project we’re hugely excited about and know that there are brands out there that this would be the perfect platform for.”
