The group creative director is best known for his work with Robbin Ingvarsson and Kako Mendez. Together they scooped up a number of awards for the Spike Jonze-directed film, ‘Welcome Home’, which promoted Apple’s HomePod speaker.

Bosch's departure comes at a time of flux for Apple, which last week saw the departure of chief design officer Jony Ive and the hire of Publicis’ chief creative officer, Nick Law.

Bosch will remain in Los Angeles and focus on growing the user base of SoundStorming, the social media platform he created with musicians in mind. The tech enables musicians of all abilities to record and share recordings directly through an app, encouraging collaboration and feedback within one ecosystem.

He co-founded the company with the businesswoman Alicia Rius. They count Pandora co-founder Jon Kraft and former TBWA\Media Arts Lab executive creative director Steven Turner among their board advisors.

“After working for such a huge brand that means so much to culture with amazing talented people like Spike Jonze, you're spoiled,” Bosch told The Drum. “You ask yourself, where am I going after this?

“I think if I really want to push for something different and try to discover what's going to be next, now is the best time ever, now Apple is at its peak."

TBWA\Media Arts Lab declined to comment.
