Topps hires marketing activation whiz Stephen Chriss to drive brand engagement

Trading card manufacturer Topps has appointed Stephen Chriss as vice-president global head of partnerships and integrated marketing, to leverage his marketing activation experience.

For the past 75 years, Topps has been creating physical and digital sports cards, entertainment cards and collectables.

As the company looks to put its brands on a bigger stage, it has brought Chriss on from Pinnacle Foods, where he led a marketing activation team that focused on driving market effectiveness and digital transformation.

As he joins Topps, he has been tasked with overseeing partner relationships and to manage marketing activation strategies.

Prior to Pinnacle, he spent 18 years at Mondelēz, where he served in many roles.

After joining originally as senior promotion manager, condiments, he rose through the ranks to take on head of North America marketing services, activation and strategic partnerships.

Discussing the appointment, Topps' president and chief exec, Michael Brandstaedter, said: "We are thrilled to have Chriss join the Topps team as he brings a wealth of experience connecting consumers to brands through creative and innovative marketing solutions.
