S4 Capital, the digital advertising and marketing services upstart, has confirmed that its global content arm MediaMonks has conditionally agreed to a merger with marketing and customer experience specialists BizTech.

The tie-up would significantly expand MediaMonks’ capabilities and geographic reach, expanding S4’s existing presence in Australia and Canada by gaining a fully integrated content and programmatic operation in both territories while strengthening its marketing cloud experience.

Sir Martin Sorrell, executive chairman of S4Capital said: “We are delighted with the proposed deal which will bring Michael, Tim, and the entire BizTech team to the S4Capital family. Their highly specialised Adobe expertise and close-knit client relationships make BizTech the perfect partner to accelerate our business in Australia and beyond.”

BizTech employs over 90 people worldwide from its headquarters in Melbourne, Australia, earning a reputation across APAC for its Adobe specialisation.

Victor Knaap, chief executive of MediaMonks said: "Bringing BizTech on board will represent many things for MediaMonks. We will be effectively marrying engineering, design, and content for a new era of creativity. But we’re not just broadening our client offer, we’re growing our network that will span from Mexico to Melbourne and welcome a brand-new super crew of Adobe experts."

Earlier Knaap confirmed that Singapore would be S4's first fully integrated offering.
