WarnerMedia appoints Chris Spadaccini as CMO

In his new role, which comes following the departure of incumbent Michael Engleman, Spadaccini’s remit will expand far beyond HBO to encompass Warner’s other cable networks such as TNT and TBS.

Bob Greenblatt, chairman of Warner’s entertainment and direct-to-consumer business, commented: “I’ve long been impressed with the quality and cutting-edge approach of the HBO marketing group overseen by Chris, and I was happy he was up for taking on our whole portfolio of linear networks and streaming platforms.

“In an environment where content volume is soaring everywhere, I’m confident that Chris — through his close working relationships with Casey Bloys at HBO and Kevin Reilly at the WarnerMedia networks and direct-to-consumer business — will make all our shows cut through the clutter.”

Spadaccini began his HBO career in 1999 since and has steadily fought his way to the top after demonstrating his abilities in promoting the premium cable networks most famous productions; including Game of Thrones.

Prior to this Spadaccini cut his teeth at US pay television network VH1.
