Brands and agencies need to get out of their tentative creative funk and really collaborate in pushing the boundaries.
The role of creativity is to try and get away with it, says Marc Lewis, dean of the School of Communication Arts and member of The Chip Shop Awards judging panel.
“Anytime I've seen advertising that blatantly broke the rules, that wonder if it's in or out of the line, those are the ones that stand out to me,” he explains. “That's why we need rules in advertising, so we can break them.”
For over 15 years The Chip Shop Awards have given creatives a platform to smash the rules and really show what they are made of.
The nominees have been announced for the 2019 awards, check out below who is celebrating pure, unadulterated creativity with no rules and no boundaries.
