Wallgreens Boots Alliance makes top marketing and digital appointments

Retail giant Wallgreens Boots Alliance has shaken up its marketing and digital operations, led by the twin appointments of Gunjan Bhow and Vineet Mehra in two newly created roles.

Wallgreens Boots Alliance undertakes leadership reshuffle

Bhow takes up position as global chief digital officer, a role entailing oversight of customer needs and the development of consumer-friendly products. Having spent the past quarter century in customer-focused roles Bhow has honed his skills at the likes of Walt Disney Company where he served as senior vice president and general manager.

Mehra arrives in tandem as global chief marketing officer, a position which carries responsibility for leading all global marketing activity. A similarly illustrious career has seen Mehra serve as global chief marketing officer at Ancestry.com and be named by Forbes as one of its top 50 CMOs in 2019.

The pair will be joined by Heather Dixon as global controller and chief accounting officer; Annie Murphy as global chief commercial officer and Colin Nelson who takes the reins as chief global supply chain officer.
