Way To Blue appoints former Netflix employee as its Munich managing director

Way To Blue welcomes former Netflix employee Tanja Thomas to the team.

Global integrated communications agency Way To Blue has hired Tanja Thomas as its managing director in Munich.

Thomas will support the agency's expansion into the German market, to focusing on increasing its existing PR, influencer marketing, social media and digital strategy offering. She will also develop the agency’s signature disruptive and digital-led approach to integrated marketing. Tanja will be responsible for generating new business, growing the team of digital marketing communications specialists and developing further relationships with German entertainment and consumer lifestyle brands.

Thomas brings 17 years worth of experience to the role, having previously worked at Netflix as head of originals publicity DACH & CEE. She is also familiar with the international and German media and entertainment industry.

Thomas has also held positions at independent German distributor, Concorde Filmverleih, where she was director of marketing and publicity. She is passionate about using data and insights to evolve her management and team development skills.

She will be based in the agency’s Munich office and report into Holly Larsen, the agency’s European operations director who is based in Amsterdam.
