Droga5 announces first business win post-Accenture Interactive acquisition
Droga5 has been appointed global creative agency of record for smartphone manufacturer OnePlus following a competitive pitch.
As OnePlus pushes into North America, it gives global creative account to Droga5
The agency's first task is to develop and launch an integrated campaign – spanning film, digital, print and experiential – by fall of 2019 as OnePlus looks to bring its latest device to North America.
This is Droga5's first business win announcement since the Accenture Interactive takeover earlier this month.
A spokesperson from Droga5 said the agency pitched for the OnePlus business in January. There was no incumbent agency of record.
“As a company, we mandate that if we are going to take on a project it must be done well," said OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, "which is why Droga5 is the obvious choice. This decision makes a lot of sense to us - we make the best phones and as such, selected the best partner to work with us on creative solutions.”
Droga5 managing director Dan Gonda commented: “Already a huge play in major global markets, we're excited by the opportunity to help OnePlus continue its global growth by disrupting the category in North America.”
