Lippincott appoints Greg Handrick as director of EMEA

Lippincott, a global creative consultancy specialising in brand and innovation, announced that Greg Handrick has joined its London office as senior partner and director of the EMEA region. His role will encompass client leadership, talent development, financial stewardship, and fueling collaboration with global management consultancy Oliver Wyman, of which Lippincott is a part.

Handrick brings over 20 years of expertise in helping clients accelerate business growth, previously spending more than 10 years at Prophet.

Handrick’s appointment coincides with Simon Glynn, Lippincott’s former head of EMEA for 16 years, taking on a new role as chief strategy officer within the firm. Glynn will be based in London and lead client relationships, with the addition of building Lippincott’s global offering and capabilities.

“We’re thrilled to have Greg on board,” said Rick Wise, chief executive officer at Lippincott. “As the director of EMEA, he will be integral to accelerating growth in the region and building on our success to date.”

For over a decade, Handrick was responsible for growing Prophet’s EMEA business. Prior to that, he worked at McKinsey and France Telecom (Orange). With experience across a breadth of industries, from telecommunications to healthcare to financial services, his core expertise is helping businesses unlock growth, from research-driven insights and opportunity sizing to brand strategy, new product innovation and business model transformation. At Lippincott, Handrick will harness the strategy, experience, and design excellency of the firm to expand its presence in the EMEA market.

“So much has changed in the industry in the last three to five years, it’s quite astonishing,” said Handrick. “And the pace of change appears to be accelerating further. Fundamentally, there is more demand for strategic brand work today than there has ever been, but at the same time, brand budgets are getting smaller and smaller, with more emphasis placed on product, service and experience innovation instead.

"This places Lippincott in a unique position as creative consultancy in the brand and innovation space, which is why I was attracted to the company. Not only does the firm have 75 years of experience, it has unique insight into the customer of the future, and exactly the right innovation capabilities to bring ideas to market. And, because we’re a part of Oliver Wyman, our firm’s venture-style innovation consulting is backed by deep rigor, industry expertise and innovation labs.”
