Unilever bolsters dental care arm with P&G brand buys

Fluocaril and Parogencyl are popular dental brands in France and Spain with a strong product portfolio centred on the treatment of gum issues and the prevention of cavities.

In bringing both brands under its wing Unilever will significantly extend its presence in the sector across both markets, with the intention to harness the brand heritage, awareness and reach of the products among dentists to complement Unilever’s current oral care portfolio.

Financial terms for the acquisition have not been disclosed but will conclude in the second quarter of 2019.
