Apple has returned to its humble roots with a three-minute commercial riffing on its abortive efforts to introduce a sceptical world to the need for rounded pizza boxes.

‘Apple at Work – The Underdogs’ brings one of the tech giants less successful innovations, a patented circular pizza box, out of retirement to illustrate the networking and creativity potential of its Macs and Airdrop software.

So fond is Apple of its corner-cutting that it has commissioned its own supply of the unique containers for employees to use at Caffe Macs, ensuring they can bring their own personal pizza back to their desks in style.
