This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below. This week features moves from Unilever, Leo Burnett, Wunderman Thompson, Bumble, Vice and MediaCom.

EMEA people are on the move

Unilever

Unilever has tapped the head of Amazon’s ‘Core Consumables’ division to lead its beauty and personal care business.

Sunny Jain joined Amazon in 2013 following a 16-year career at rival FMCG-business Procter and Gamble.

Mcgarrybowen UK

Gareth Collins has joined Mcgarrybowen UK from Leo Burnett UK and Fallon as chief executive with former Ogilvy London chief executive Charlie Rudd taking over the role vacated within the Publicis Groupe businesses in turn.

Leo Burnett

Leo Burnett and Fallon London has named Charlie Rudd, former Ogilvy and Mather London chief, as its new chief executive. He takes over from Gareth Collins who has moved to become chief executive of Mcgarrybowen UK.

RocketMill

Matt Andrews, formerly chief strategy officer at Mindshare UK, has joined RocketMIll as its chief strategy officer. He has been tasked with beefing up its capabilities in brand strategy.

Havas London

Havas London's executive creative director, Ben Mooge, has left the agency after almost four years. Mark Whelan, Havas' chief creative officer will take over Mooge's responsibilities for the time being, as the agency says it is searching for a replacement.

Mindshare UK

Jem Lloyd-Wiliams is joining Mindshare UK from Vizeum to take up the role of UK chief executive.

After more than 20 years, Jo Lyall is leaving her role as managing director of Mindshare UK. She has left to lead a media start-up.

MediaCom

Claudine Collins has been promoted from managing director ay MediaCom, to its first chief client officer. She will be responsible for ensuring the agency delivers a strategy and engagement programme that responds to the needs of its clients.

Satin Reid has been promoted from joint managing director of MediaCom, succeeding Collins as the sole managing director. Danny Donovan, who shared the role with Reid will take up the role of managing director, retail and commerce.

Paul Cooper, currently managing director of MediaCom North, has also had his role expanded to chief operations officer of MediaCom North.

Goodstuff Communications

Goodstuff Communications has appointed long-term advisors Nick Horswell, Sonia Sudhakar and Helen Hatton as its first non-executive directors.

Wunderman Thompson

The newly-merged agency, Wunderman Thompson has unveiled its new UK management team. Pip Hulbert has been named UK chief executive, while James Whitehead is moving to a global client lead role.

Steve Aldride has joined as UK chief creative officer, and Wunderman's chief creative officer, Ian Haworth will take a global client creative lead position.

Moneysupermarket

After working for the MoneySupermarket brand as a consultant since last September, Lloyd Page has been appointed marketing director.

Darren Bentley is leaving his role as chief customer officer to join a start-up.

MSQ Partners

MSQ Partners has appointed Matt Williams to the newly-created position of group head of content. He will lead the development and implementation of a new marketing approach to broaden awareness of MSQ’s market-leading, multi-disciplinary offer.

HuffPost

HuffPost has appointed Jimmy Leach as editor-in-chief of HuffPost UK to oversee the HuffPost team of editors and staff writers in London and beyond.

HuffPost has promoted Jess Brammar to executive editor, responsible for all editorial output and standards on HuffPost UK.

AML Group

The former Publicis Groupe president and chief executive, John Farrell, has been made AML Group’s non-executive chairman.

Made by Many

The former ITV director, Julian March, has been appointed as chief executive of Made by Many. The restructuring will see Tom Harding promoted to the managing partnership and Adam Morris succeed him as head of design.

McCann Health

McCann Health has made three key appointments. Nick Bartlett joins as president of Northern Europe in a newly created role that oversees UK, France and McCann Health Consulting. In the London team, Jonathan Kukathasan has been promoted to managing director from his previous position as general manager and Rob Fuller joins from Havas Lynx as head of planning for McCann Health London.

APAC people on the move

Langoor

Vijay Shenoy has joined Langoor as its senior vice president, strategy and business development.

Isobar Taiwan

Oliver Tsai has been named chief strategy officer for Isobar Taiwan. He will be responsible for creating integrated digital marketing strategies that will deliver experience-led transformation for clients.

Smaato

Genelle Hung is joining Smaato's demand team as director of demand business development in APAC. Helene Nguyen is also joining the demand team in business development, alongside Lourydie Velasco and Margaret Christany who join the account management team.

Samsung Electronics

Following an internal audit over gifting practices, Samsung Electronics America has fired a number of its staff. The exact number is unknown, but Samsung is said to have fired 15 to 25 of its marketing team of about 200 people. The company's chief marketing officer, Mac Mattieu, and head of media and planning, Jay Altschuler were among the top executives who have left.

Vice

Vice Media has bolstered its digital credentials with the elevation of former Medium deputy editor Katie Drummond as senior vice president of Vice Digital. Drummond will assume responsibility for bringing video production in line with editorial goals.

Bumble

Bumble has doubled down on expanding its partnership model globally with the hire of Grindr’s Michele Tobin. She joins as Bumble’s first vice-president of partnerships, having previously served as vice-president of global brand partnerships and advertising.

Partizan

Jonathan Klein has been added to the production company Partizan's roster. He joins from O Positive where he worked with blue-chip brands including McDonald’s, Visa, AT&T and Audi.

Potato

Potato has appointed Parastoo Zeraat as director of product delivery to lead their global projects and support the studio’s growth.

Parsec Media

Parsec Media has hired Adam Heimlich as president. In this newly created role, Heimlich will focus on new revenue streams and products for the firm.

Kasisto

Kasisto has hired its first chief marketing officer, Stephen Epstein. In this role, he will lead the company’s banking applications and marketing teams.

Reprise

Reprise has promoted Michael O'Brien to senior vice president, head of creative. He previously served as the agency's executive creative director.

True Food Kitchen

True Food Kitchen has appointed Shannon Keller to chief marketing officer. Keller will lead strategic and innovative marketing throughout the country, overseeing brand strategy and communications.
