Chimp Productions, the video production company run by former Top Gear star Richard Hammond, has partnered with Falken Tyres to produce a two-part film documenting its motorsports team on YouTube and DriveTribe.
Shot in the style of the TV motoring magazine, the film sees Hammond take centre stage as he gets under the bonnet, behind the wheel and in front of the camera for a full overview of its tyre testing procedures.
Dennis Wilstermann of Falken said: “We were thrilled to work with DriveTribe and Chimp on the story of our racing preparation. The video, which captures the kind of sweeping cinematic shots and dynamism of an episode of The Grand Tour or Top Gear, describes the puzzles that come together when fettling or fine-tuning a car.”
Episode one is available to view now on YouTube with the second part following next week on DriveTribe, part of a three-month sponsorship deal of the motoring social platform – co-founded by Hammond and his on-screen colleagues James May and Jeremy Clarkson.
