Named “Super Party”, the concert will take place in Jakarta, Indonesia, on March 26 and will feature Grammy and Brit Awards winner Dua Lipa including a host of Asian celebrities.
Consumers in Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam will be able to watch the concert on the Alibaba-owned platform app.
Lazada hopes that by blending shopping and entertainment, which it has nicknamed ‘shoppertainment’, shoppers can watch live streams and be entertained while shopping on the platform.
“We want to go beyond shopping and offer our consumers and fans, through our in-app live streaming capabilities, moments to cherish and remember,” said Mary Zhou, the chief marketing officer at Lazada.
