Donna Lamar returns as Twitter creative director after a year at Vice

Twitter has upped its creative capabilities with the return of Donna Lamar who spent a year at Vice Media.

Donna Lamar returns as Twitter creative director after a year at Vice

Lamar was the creative director of the social network's in-house studio (named #Studio) between 2016 and 2018 before jumping aside to Vice Media where she was group creative director. She and David Lennon joined as group creative directors in 2018, Lennon remains in the role.

Lamar, on the other hand, will start her new role at Twitter on 22 April working from the San Francisco headquarters. She will report into vice president of global marketing Brad Ramsey. She replaces Jayanta Jenkins who recently joined HP.

Lamar will oversee major brand initiatives, product launches and marketing campaigns.

Ramsey said: “The amazing people and conversations on Twitter present an opportunity for great storytelling, and Donna is just the person to help to us.

“She is an incredible talent and we look forward to seeing how she will help shape our brand.”

She has worked with brands including Microsoft, Gatorade, Nike, Coke, Nokia, Mondelez, Kraft, Adidas, Pepsi, Vodafone, Siemens, Heineken, with an agency past spanning Widen + Kennedy and TBWA\Chiat\Day.
