Brodman last spent five years at Google, serving as senior business leader of US deals and partnerships for the company's in-house agency.

“With the help of agencies, Twitter brings brands to the center of culture and conversation with the most engaged, fascinating and influential audiences," said Brodman. "I’m thrilled to join Twitter’s US agency team to help holding companies leverage Twitter’s creative tools to move the industry forward.”

Brodman will report to Stephanie Prager, Twitter's new head of global agency development. She previously held the US role.

“Doug has delivered on impactful projects that have moved the industry forward, and we’re thrilled to have his agency expertise and passion for advertising on the team," said Prager. "As we continue to showcase how Twitter is a key asset for brands launching something new or connecting with what’s happening, we look forward to his fresh perspective."

At Google, Brodman led in growing YouTube's presence in the upfront marketplace and driving TV dollars onto the video platform.

Before Google, Brodman headed sales marketing of the NBC Universal Olympic business for three years. Prior to working for the tech giant, he spent six years at MediaVest, which has since become Spark Foundry.
