Channel 4's Irish 90s comedy, Derry Girls, has channelled Teletext in a nostalgic marketing push marking the show's return.
Following on from the creation of its Derry murals, the series is now aping on Teletext, Ceefax and Fivetext in social media activity harking back to the 90s to publicise the launch of its second season.
The @Channel4 Instagram account, which boasts 172,500 followers, is the lead platform for this activity. A Story will be assembled, spanning everything from the Derry Girls' updates about the weather to ‘spiritual guidance’ from Sister Michael.
The work was delivered inhouse by Channel 4's marketing team. 4Creative helped with the broader mural campaign.
The second series returns to Channel 4 on Tuesday 5 March
