R/GA recruits Google’s Andre le Masurier as EMEA chief creative officer

Le Masurier will join at the end of April from Google's Brand Studio where he nurtured a full-service in-house design team. Before that he enjoyed stints at the likes of 72andSunny, AKQA and Saatchi & Saatchi.

Matt Lodder, EVP managing director for EMEA, said: “Our industry often bemoans the exodus of its top talent to tech giants, so Andre’s transition from Google to R/GA is a great show of confidence in both our agency and the creative industry at large.

"Having had the privilege of collaborating with him and his fantastic team at Google as recently as last year, on the award winning Searching for Syria project, we know he shares our vision and we are delighted to welcome him as our new creative leader for the region.”

Masurier added: “R/GA is uniquely positioned to leverage the power of creativity, storytelling and technology to help transform both its own business and their clients. It’s in their DNA, always has been.”

Le Masurier joins two other recent senior leadership hires – Rob Campbell who took up the post as executive strategy director and Iain Preston, exec director client services – in forming part of a new-look EMEA leadership team.
