Manchester United and Marriott International are to join forces with a new global marketing partnership; granting 120m Marriott Bonvoy travel programme members access to a range of exclusive football experiences.
Marking the third major sponsor deal announced in February, one a week, with Remington and Maui Jim preceding it, the latest tie-up with the hotel group will see the club grant a range of one-off experiences for lucky fans such as the chance to be a stadium announcer, welcome players arriving at Old Trafford or become a kit manager for the day.
To cement the new partnership and the opportunities it offers an associated film depicts players and management helping to facilitate these experiences.
Marriott International global marketing officer, Karin Timpone, said: “We are thrilled to offer compelling benefits to Marriott Bonvoy members, now expanded to include unique Manchester United experiences. This marketing partnership enables our members to access special VIP game experiences by using the points they’ve accumulated during hotel stays for unprecedented, exclusive experiences.”
The newly launched Marriott Bonvoy travel programme offers members access to 8,000 lifestyle, entertainment, sport and food experiences in exchange for redeemed loyalty points.
