Stuff your red roses and satin hearts: Papa John's and Pizza Express are tapping into the V-day hype by getting customers to give a pizza their hearts.

Papa John's is encouraging its loved-up customer's to avoid crowded restaurants this Valentines, by staying in with one of its limited edition heart-shaped pizzas.

As part of the romantic deal, customers can choose from three classic pizza flavours; Double Pepperoni, Cheese and Tomato and Hot Pepper Passion. And they say romance is dead...

Another pizzeria capitalising on the commercial day of love is Pizza Express with a couple saying "I dough" in the restaurant.

Pizza Express performed a shotgun wedding stunt at one of its London restaurants. After being engaged for over a year, unbeknown to the couple, their friends took matters into their own hands, by responding to the pizzeria's Facebook offer to create a spontaneous martial ceremony.

After sitting down to eat what they thought was a complimentary meal, the couple instead ended up agreeing to a quick-fire nuptial, complete with confetti, sparklers, a live jazz band - and even a dough ball heart shaped wedding cake.

The pizzeria is now considering following in Wetherspoon's footsteps, by licensing a number of its restaurants to become wedding venues.
