In the span of the last five years, mobile gaming has grown from the smallest segment of the gaming market to a $70bn (£61.6bn) industry (source: Newzoo). In fact, from Zynga buying Gram Games to Niantic adding VR-focused Seismic Games, the mobile gaming sector is becoming more than an interesting space to watch. In response to the evolution of the mobile gaming industry, The Drum has teamed up with AdColony to host a panel in Austin, Texas.

Held at the iconic 'The Drum Arms' pop-up pub, a panel discussion will analyze the current state of gaming in its 'Gaming on the go' session.

Looking specifically at the audiences attracted to mobile gaming, the event will consider the reasons that cross-platform games are so popular and the role that new technology plays in the way users interact with the game. The panel will also question what gamers today look like and think about why mobile games succeed at appealing to a wider and more diverse audience.

Hosted by The Drum’s associate editor Sonoo Singh, the session will compare the success of small screens over large screens, discussing how marketers can make the most of this space.

Put March 9th in your diary, from 3pm-4pm, followed by an hour and a half of happy hour drinks.
