Ryan Giggs' brother Rhodri has been unveiled as the face of Paddy Power's latest loyalty campaign, poking fun at the pair's infamous fall-out.

The ad makes light of Ryan Giggs' eight-year affair with Rhodri's (now ex-) wife Natasha, exposed as a huge tabloid scandal in 2011.

It was directed by Peter Cattaneo of The Full Monty fame and promotes the bookmaker's 'anti-loyalty scheme' - Paddy's Rewards Club.

"I'm Rhodri Giggs and I want to talk to you about loyalty," opens the footballer – explaining how he's loyal to his pub, his gym and his national team Wales, of which his brother is manager.

While at his local (The Prince of Wales) he chats to a barmaid standing in front of a poster advertising 'Wandering Cock' craft. She then asks him if he wants a pint of bitter, to which he replies "not anymore Pam, champagne please."

Giggs closes the ad with the caveat: "The problem is, loyalty gets you nowhere, live for rewards instead," revealing his new role as as Paddy's Rewards Club ambassador.

When asked what his sibling will make of the ad, Rhodri told Paddy Power: “I’m sure, after the initial defensiveness, he’ll have a laugh about it. It’s funny."

Notorious for its stunts, the last few months alone have seen Paddy Power deliver a 'drunk tank' to Royal Ascot and capitalise on the sacking of Manchester United gaffer Jose Mourinho by running an ad next to coverage of the news in The Evening Standard.
