Home & Away actor Ray Meagher has switched hot sauce for perfume in his latest spot for GoDaddy.
The beloved actor, best known for his 30-year stint as Alf Stewart on the long-running Australian soap opera, has returned as the face of the tech brand encouraging consumers to create their own websites.
The latest campaign sees Meagher creating and launching his own fragrance, ‘Raygrance Number 1’ via a website he built using GoDaddy Website Builder.
The campaign is part of an education program by GoDaddy which aims to support small business owners and entrepreneurs by raising awareness of the benefits of online trading and GoDaddy’s services. It follows research by the brand which revealed more than half (59%) of Australian small businesses do not have a website.
Tracy Hall, marketing director, GoDaddy Australia and New Zealand, said, “The 2019 campaign builds on Ray’s entrepreneurial journey and aims to continue inspiring Australian small businesses and entrepreneurs to create their own online presence. If Ray can do it not once, but twice, anyone can.”
The national campaign, which was created by WiTH Collective, includes TV, outdoor, radio, social, PR, digital and performance marketing channels. A limited range of ‘Raygrance Number 1’ is also available to purchase from raygrance.com.au, with all proceeds going to the Cure Cancer charity.
