Executive creative director Jim de Zoete has been hired at Across the Pond agency to lead the global creative department.

De Zoete will report directly to CEO and founder Julie Cohen and be responsible for delivering award-winning work for clients such as Google, YouTube, Rosewood Hotels and Deepmind across all media. He will lead and grow the agency’s creative departments in London, Singapore and San Francisco.

Prior to this role, de Zoete was Deputy ECD at Red Bee, creating campaigns for TV Licensing and the Discovery Channel as well as Nissan’s Olympic and Paralympic sponsorship work. Throughout his time there, he helped the agency move into branded content and saw them scoop up multiple awards including Clio Gold and The Guardian ‘Do different’ Overall winner. De Zoete was previously a Creative Director on the BBC, during which time he was behind award-winning campaigns, and successfully re-launched Doctor Who and rebranded BBC Two.

“Jim is the creative leader we need to achieve our shared vision to help our clients get from A to B in an ever changing world,” says Julie Cohen. “He has what it takes to inspire and lead our clients into areas they may not have thought to go - both in platforms and ideas. I couldn’t be more excited to have Jim on board - plus he’s just a phenomenally good guy you just want to be around!”
