This year, The Drum wants to explore what ‘the marketer of the future’ looks like – taking a closer look at the skills, knowledge and resources today’s client-side marketers need for tomorrow – and now we need your help to spotlight emerging talent in the industry.

For the first time, we’re launching The Drum Future 50 Marketers, a global project that aims to shine a spotlight on a new breed of brand-side talent. We want to give a platform to the next generation of trailblazers who are shaking up the way clients work and teaching the old guard some new tricks in the process.

To be considered for the Future 50, nominees must currently work for a brand’s marketing department. They also must be be under the age of 30 OR have worked in brand marketing for less than 18 months. All relevant job titles falling under the marcomms umbrella will be considered.

Commenting on the project, The Drum's deputy editor Cameron Clarke said: “Through our agenda-setting interviews with global brands and annual features like The Digerati, The Drum has become a must-read to follow the career paths of established marketers. Now we want to afford the same platform to the next generation of marketing talent.

“The purpose of this project is simple: to find and celebrate the world’s best new marketers. To do that, and to make sure no outstanding individual gets overlooked, we need your help. So if you’re doing exceptional work for a brand, or know someone who is, we want to hear from you.”

The final 50 will be curated by The Drum’s editorial team after carefully considering each nominee’s testimonials – so make sure their key achievements are included in your submissions.
