Grey London promotes 'advertising alchemist' Anna Panczyk to CEO

Panczyk with new Grey London partner Rossi

Grey London has promoted Anna Panczyk from chief executive of Grey Poland to lead the group's London operation.

Having led the Polish wing since 2015, Panczyk now makes the move to London, reporting into Europe president and chief Eduardo Maruri.

She will work with Adrian Rossi, creative chairman of Grey London, who joined the firm from AMV BBDO in December. His addition marked the first senior creative hire since joint chief creative officer Caroline Pay left the agency, and the advertising industry, to become the chief creative officer of Headspace in LA earlier this year.

Grey Group chief Michael Houston said that Panczyk transformed the Polish charter into a “creative and new business powerhouse”. He added: “She is a natural to lead Grey London, our flagship office in Europe. Together with the arrival of Adrian Rossi, her appointment opens an exciting new chapter in our evolution as a 'Famously Effective' agency focused on the future."

Her new partner Rossi said Panczyk encapsulates the X Factor captured in a bottle and “an advertising alchemist”.

The Warsaw School of economics graduate comes to the WPP agency having clocked time at Saatchi & Saatchi Poland and independent agency Change Integrated.
