Center Parcs celebrates family togetherness in first ads from VMLY&R

Center Parcs has unveiled its first big work from VMLY&R since appointing the agency last year, with a fresh campaign that celebrates the emotional benefits of spending time with family in a natural setting.

'This Is Family' comprises three ads told from the perspectives of a mum, dad and elder sister.

Based on the insight that being surrounded by nature allows people to reconnect with their true self, the holiday firm shows each character swapping the constraints of daily life for fun and freedom among nature in one of their resorts.

Launching on TV from Christmas Eve (24 December) the campaign will span social, cinema, video-on-demand and out-of-home.

“Family life is a wonderful thing, but there are lots of challenges too. Children are surrounded by boundaries meaning parents must juggle the demands of work, family and social life and often, have to make lots of compromises," explained Colin Whaley, sales and marketing Director at Center Parcs.

“We want to inspire more families to take the plunge and give a short break with family at Center Parcs a go.”

The push is VMLY&R's first creative work for the brand, since the now merged Y&R took over the account from Brothers and Sisters in 2017.
