This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Isobar

Global digital agency Isobar part of Dentsu Aegis Network has appointed Prashant Mehta to senior vice president, global head of delivery. Mehta will be the agency’s lead architect to design cross-border delivery models across technology, creative and commerce.

IPA

Nigel Vaz, chief executive EMEA and APAC for Publicis.Sapient, is to succeed Sarah Golding as the president of the Institute of Practitioners in Advertising (IPA). Vaz will pick up the mantle from Golding, who is chief executive and partner at The&Partnership, when her two-year term comes to an end in March.

Zoopla

Gary Bramall has joined property brand Zoopla as chief marketing officer, replacing Gareth Helm who is departing the business. He has joined Zoopla with a brief of overseeing its marketing strategy, differentiation and growth, following the £2.2bn acquisition in July by Silver Lake Partners, a US private equity firm.

WPP

The former global chief executive of Possible, Shane Atchison, will return to WPP to lead Wunderman Thompson’s North American business, while J Walter Thompson North America chief, Simon Pearce, is to depart the agency later next year.

VMLY&R

WPP’s newly-consolidated VMLY&R has been dealt an early blow with the exit of its European chief executive Jon Sharpe, who has resigned amid an internal disciplinary process.

Ogilvy

Ogilvy has appointed Piyush Pandey to the role of global chief creative officer, replacing Tham Khai Meng who was dismissed earlier this year following an internal investigation.

Teenage Cancer Trust

Paul Brown has been appointed the Teenage Cancer Trust's first permanent director of marketing and communications, taking over from Alison Cowan who held the role on an interim basis.

Asbof

Former chair of the Automobile Association (AA), Mark Lund, is to replace Chris Powell as chair of The Advertising Standards Board of Finance (Asbof).

Change

Xavier Beauregard has joined the Paris-based agency, Change, as creative director and co-president. In his new role, Beauregard will be involved in plans to enhance creative acceleration and innovation in the FCB affiliate agency.

PHD

Liz Emerick, former head of programmatic and social at Brainlabs has left London to join PHD in Manchester as the media agency’s first biddable media director. In her new role, Emerick will be responsible for overseeing the development of biddable media strategy.

Future Thinking Group

Future Thinking has appointed Petko Tinchev as chief executive officer Gemseek and cQuest.

Dow Jones Media Group

Rupert Steiner has joined Dow Jones Media Group as EMEA bureau chief. He'll be based in London and will focus on the retail and consumer goods beats. Steiner will join DJMG from The Guardian.

Unilever

After close to four decades with Unilever, chief marketing officer Keith Weed is to retire from the business. Weed will leave the FMCG giant in May next year. Unilever has not confirmed who will be stepping up to take on the top marketing role.

APAC people on the move

Contract Advertising

Contract Advertising has appointed Sagar Mahabaleshwarkar as chief creative officer (CCO) to strengthen its leadership. Mahabaleshwarkar boasts three decades of experience with various advertising agencies in India and abroad.

The 4As has named Simon Fenwick executive vice president, talent engagement and inclusion. In the role, Fenwick will oversee the organization’s diversity, learning, and development programs, including the 4A’s Foundation.

MRM//McCann

McCann Worldgroup has announced that Kate MacNevin has been promoted to global chief executive officer of MRM//McCann. MacNevin was most recently global president and chief operating officer.

Captify

Captify has appointed Aruna Paramasivam as global vice president of data and publisher partnerships. In her new role, Paramasivam will be in charge of Captify's global data acquisition and monetisation strategy.

Duncan Channon

Duncan Channon has hired Katrina Michie as associate creative director. Michie joins Duncan Channon after nearly three years as a freelance associate creative director and art director with agencies such as Eleven and Jack Morton Worldwide.

Heinrich Marketing

Matt Ingwalson has joined Heinrich marketing as vice president of creative strategy. In this new role, Ingwalson will lead Heinrich’s creative team and generate content for clients across various categories and media.

Deutsch

R/GA's former director of content, Diego de la Maza, has been hired as executive vice president, head of production at Deutsch's LA office. He will lead the broadcast, film, content, experiential and print production teams.

Shareablee

Audience-based social media measurement company, Shareablee Inc., announced long-time advertising and marketing veteran Chris Puckett as vice president of its newly-formed agency partnerships team. Puckett is a digital advertising leader, having held key roles at Google, Facebook, Fullscreen, BuzzFeed and most recently, Unilad.

Creative Partnership

Chris Warrington has been hired as managing partner of marketing agency, Creative Partnership, as managing director, Michelle Gardiner, relocates to LA to head up the agency's west coast operation as executive vice president.

Marcus Thomas

Morgan Connor has been hired as culture and coaching director at Marcus Thomas. She will lead talent management and head up human resources.

Laundry Service

Laundry Service has hired ex-DDB Columbia chief creative officer, Leo Macias, as it's global chief creative officer. Jordan Fox has been named head of laundry service and cycle.

Zambezi

Zambezi announced has made five key hires including creative director Alexandra Sann, creative director Jeff Siegel, art director Stacie Larsen, senior copywriter Kristi Lira and designer Stephanie DeAngelis. Each of the creative hires will report to partner/chief creative officer Gavin Lester and will be involved in creative efforts for Zambezi’s roster of clients.
