This is the first such digital content deal from Spotify, where it's allowing a partner to develop a content hub. The music-streaming service has created an Ellen Show hub that will live on the platform, which DeGeneres will curate.

"It’s long been important for us to engage audiences everywhere they are across all platforms," said Ellen Show executive producer Ed Glavin. "The opportunity to build out a first-ever Ellen [Show] hub on Spotify provides another way to allow millions of fans to connect with Ellen [DeGeneres] and get an inside look into her love of music."

Dawn Ostroff, chief creative at Spotify, said her company and the Ellen Show are a natural fit.

"We both create opportunities for new voices to be discovered and enjoyed by millions, which is why our new partnership is such a great fit. We can’t wait to unveil additional parts of this long-term collaboration, and help each other reach new and existing fans in fresh and innovative ways," said Ostroff.

Spotify will be a regular feature on the show through on-air integrations.
